Description
USS Miami (SSN 755) was a Los Angeles-class attack submarine, equipped with nuclear propulsion and built by General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut. Commissioned in 1990 and named after the city of Miami, Florida, the submarine was a critical part of the U.S. Navy's fleet. Sadly, the USS Miami was severely damaged by fire in 2012, decommissioned in 2014, and later recycled.
