USS Cleveland LPD 7, an Austin-class amphibious transport dock, was built by Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Commissioned in 1967, it served for over four decades before being decommissioned in 2011. Named after the city of Cleveland, Ohio, the ship played a vital role in amphibious operations. Its legacy continues with its planned transition to the NAVSEA Inactive Ships Facility in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
