Description
“Thanksgiving Port Call, ‘Unknown,’ 1492.”
Historical accuracy? Never heard of her. The front print nods to the original Navy port call, somewhere off the coast of “we’ll figure it out later.” The back features a crusty Second Class who’s clearly been underway since Columbus himself, gold chevrons and all. Not the highest rank for a centuries-long career, but hey, advancement boards fear him, and mess decks respect him.
Salty before saltwater was even charted.
This design’s a tribute to every sailor who’s been promised liberty and got “extended ops” instead. The look says “I’ve eaten chow colder than your heart,” and the bird says “it’s still better than midrats.” For those who’ve sailed through history, grumbled through every holiday meal, and somehow lived long enough to be part of maritime legend, this one’s for you.
