The USS Port Royal (CG 73) is a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser, built by Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Commissioned in 1994 and decommissioned in 2022, it served as a key asset in naval defense and power projection. Homeported at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, it was named after the Battle of Port Royal, South Carolina, from the American Civil War. The ship’s motto was "The Will to Win."
