USS Milwaukee (LCS 5) is a Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ship, built by Marinette Marine Corporation. Commissioned in 2015 and decommissioned in 2023, it served with distinction, homeported at Naval Station Mayport, Florida. Named after the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the ship’s motto was "STRENGTH FREEDOM - 1846." The USS Milwaukee now rests at the Naval Inactive Ship Maintenance Facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after playing a key role in naval operations.
